Look up the color black in Wikipedia and you find it defined as the darkest color, the result of the absence of or complete absorption of light and often represents darkness in contrast with light. It thereby came to represent evil and brutality in many of our first societies, such as Ancient Greece. It has been used with that meaning in mind in Neolithic cave paintings and in just about every religion long, long before races had even begun to mix or America had slavery. It's got nothing to do with an African-American person or the demonization of such! Condemning things or people without knowledge of the true facts is what brought about racism in the first place, so let's not keep perpetuating that.
