these bulbs use far less energy than the smart phones we use to view this app.
Care to explain how you calculated that jeffterrian? My phone probably consumes 30Wh per day, where as this bulb probably consumes about 60W per hour. Therefore for every hour the bulb is on, I could run my phone for 2 days...
Worth getting just to annoy the Eco-hippies.
@joshseal These vintage bulbs are actually being phased out in their current form due to a new legislation however, you are right the bulbs are not very energy efficient, but then they are not meant to be. They are to be used and enjoyed in certain environments and used for effect, the craft used to create them is something that should be admired and that we think people would love to show off.
free speech gone as me ec-hippy comment has been deleted!
was in the process of ordering one but my husbands comments were deleted off here.
too politically correct, scared to offend the easily offended, meh their loss!
show me one with a 13 pointer and I'm in
@moonwillow70 This is unacceptable and we disagree with the fancy team guys doing this but then they have a reputation to adhere to. If you or your husband are still interested in purchasing, we deliver around the world and you can purchase here: http://www.junkskull.com/collections/mimime
Hi, yes Junkskull is absolutely right. We champion the use of energy efficient lighting and ourselves use energy efficient lights throughout our studio. However this is a design piece, as Junkskull said its purpose is not to be used in every single light outlet in your home, they're to be used as feature pieces. Additionally used ideally with a dimmer switch they can run off a fraction of the wattage as opposed to the 60w stated by Joshseal.
